Some enemy Artes will cause status conditions on the player. All except K.O. will expire after a certain period of time, but they can also be cured by the Artes listed in the Cure Abnormality Category Page.

Playable Characters may also have Artes that have a chance to cause status ailments, either as an initial effect or as a result of Enhancement. For a list of such Artes, see the Status Ailment Category Page.
For a list of buffs and debuffs that affect a character's Stats, see Stat Changes.

The table below lists the various Status Ailments and their effects:

Slow
鈍足
-status- Slow.pngReduces movement speed.
Poison
-status- Poison.pngDamages the character at regular intervals, until cured or their HP is 1.

When at 1 HP due to poison you receive the "Stun" effect.

Fatigue
疲労
-status- Fatigue.pngIncreases stagger duration from enemy hits.
Weakness
衰弱
-status- Weakness.pngDoubles CC cost and Arte casting time.
Paralysis
マヒ
-status- Paralysis.pngArtes may randomly fail and cause the character to stagger.
Terror
恐怖
-status- Terror.pngReduces CC recovery speed.
Petrification
石化
-status- Petrification.pngPrevents movement. Each hit does half of current HP.

If HP reaches 1 during Petrification, receive the "Stun" effect.

Stun
気絶
-status- Stun.pngPrevents movement for a short period of time or until hit.
Confusion
混乱
-status- Confusion.pngAllows attacks to affect friend and foe alike.
When attacking, the direction or position of the attack can change unexpectedly.
For enemies with very short stagger duration, stagger duration increases.
The effects of the Critical +1 and Critical +2 enhancements are increased when attacking confused targets.
Weight Down
重力減少
-status- Weight Down.pngReduces target's weight, allowing artes to float even heavy enemies for a longer period of time.

Has no effect on enemies that cannot be lifted such as Sandworm.

K.O.N/AUnable to fight for the rest of the stage (will still gain exp).
