Tales of the Rays Wiki

While the characters will move automatically into position for each normal attacks and arte they will use, the player can still run around freely around the battlefield by dragging the left side of the screen. Upon tapping, the game will show a touchscreen virtual joystick that the player can use for movement.

General

Performing a free run allows players to re-position the character around the battlefield to attack enemies from behind or to move to a safer location to cast. It is also possible to interrupt Casting by moving.

Chain Capacity Recovery Speed is slowed while manually moving. Having the character auto-run to an enemy to get in range builds CC as a higher rate than running to the enemy manually.

Movement Speed

Characters run at different speeds even on the map (outside of combat). These are their relative speeds; i.e. Ix, with his speed of 60, moves 20% faster than characters with a speed of 50.
