The scholarly community ridiculed his theories, saying that summoning was an unworkable ideal that could never be used in reality, and he was widely regarded as a mere eccentric. However, the young visitors from another time thought differently, and they helped him overcome the trials given by the spirits and thus prove his theories. Carrying within himself both a sense of responsibility as a leader for his younger companions, and anger toward the enemy forces and their disregard for the value of life, he continues on until the time when the Demon King will be defeated.
